What Happens After You Order from Slow Mill

What Happens After You Order from Slow Mill

Buying from a store you haven't heard of before comes with a reasonable question: what actually happens after I place an order?

Here's the full picture.

Step 1: You'll get a confirmation email right away

As soon as your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation with your order number and a summary of what you bought. Keep this — you'll need the order number if you ever need to contact us.

Step 2: Your order is packed and shipped

We pack each order carefully — especially kits that include glass parts. Fragile items are wrapped individually.

Shipping times vary by destination. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking link (where carrier tracking is available).

Step 3: Your order arrives

Most orders arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

When your package arrives, take a moment to check everything before you put it away. If anything looks wrong — a damaged part, a missing item, something that doesn't match your order — contact us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo.

If something goes wrong

We stand behind what we sell. Here's our commitment:

  • Damaged on arrival: Contact us within 48 hours with photos. We'll review a replacement route.
  • Wrong item received: Contact us and we'll make it right.
  • Missing parts: Let us know within 48 hours and we'll follow up.

We're a small team. When you reach out, you're talking to someone who actually knows the products.

Have a question before you order?

That's fine too. You can reach us before you buy — whether it's a question about which grinder to choose, whether a product ships to your location, or anything else.

We'd rather answer your question upfront than have you order something that isn't right for you.

While you wait: how to be ready on day one

Your gear is on its way, so here is the one thing worth doing before it lands — buy fresh whole beans, and buy them locally rather than online. You want them roasted within the last two weeks and ground for the first time the morning you brew.

If you ordered the Manual Coffee Grinder Pro, it arrives ready to use; there is no assembly and nothing to charge. A quick rinse of the glass cone dripper and you are set — 18g of coffee, 288g of water, and about three minutes.

New to the whole process? The 6-piece starter kit page walks through the basic routine, and our pour-over setup guide covers the first week.

Questions about an order in progress? The contact page reaches us directly — we answer within one business day.
