Choose by the setup you already own. If you have a suitable mug or server and want a brewer with filters, a clear PC dripper is a simple starting point. If you want a matched glass dripper and server in one order, a glass cone set may save you a fit check. The material alone will not determine whether a cup tastes good.
What is actually in each option?
The Slow Mill Clear PC Pour-Over Dripper includes one clear PC dripper and 50 matching white paper filters. A mug, server, kettle and coffee are not included. Its supplier hand-measured dimensions are approximately 9 cm across the rim, 7.2 cm high and 9.8 cm across the base; allow for small measurement differences.
The Slow Mill Glass Cone Pour-Over Dripper Set includes a glass cone dripper, a matching glass server and 40 cone paper filters. It is suited to someone who wants those main pieces together. Check the current product pages for what each order includes before buying; props in lifestyle images are not always part of a set.
How to make the choice
- Already have a vessel? Measure its opening and check that the dripper base will rest securely on it. The PC option avoids buying a second server if yours fits.
- Starting from an empty counter? The glass set bundles its dripper and server, along with filters.
- Want to see the brew? Both are clear enough to watch the coffee bed and flow. Use that view to notice uneven wetting; it does not replace tasting.
- Thinking about replacement filters? Do not assume every cone filter with a similar number fits. Match paper shape and dimensions to the specific dripper. Our cone dripper and filter guide explains the check.
A simple first brew with either dripper
- Set the dripper securely on the mug or server and insert one matching filter.
- Rinse the paper with hot water if you prefer, then discard that rinse water.
- Add ground coffee. For a first single cup, try 18 g coffee with 288 g brew water as a 1:16 starting ratio.
- Wet the grounds, then add the remaining water gradually. Let the coffee drain before serving.
- Taste. Adjust one variable, such as grind or ratio, on the next brew instead of changing everything at once.
For more starting amounts, use our pour-over ratio chart. If you still need a grinder and kettle, the 6-piece starter kit is a different, more complete setup; review its included pieces separately.
Quick answers
Does glass always make better coffee than PC?
No material guarantees a better cup. Coffee, grind, filter, water, recipe and technique all affect what you taste. Choose a brewer that fits your vessel and routine, then keep your recipe consistent while learning it.
Are the included filters the same?
They are sold with different products: 50 white filters with the PC dripper and 40 cone filters with the glass set. Use the product-specific fit information when replenishing them.
